Used to like this mag on my iPad but now the videos no longer work on any of the dozens of issues I have purchased. Contacted support months ago and still nothing.

Contacted Acoustic Guitars customer service PRIOR to purchasing a subscription in the Apple store to ensure Id be able to access their website subscriber content as well. They stated (in writing) Id be able to. Guess what? Subscribed and I couldnt. Contacted AG customer service by phone instead of emailing so I could speak to someone instead of waiting for an email reply. Their answer? "We dont know". That included the supervisors answer as well. Really? Isnt customer service the public face of the company? I was told to call the Apple store to find out AGs policies. I wondered "Why? Does Apple publish your magazine? Set your policies? Run your company? You dont know what you company sells, or how? Really?" Sterling customer service by any measure. Bottom line, you only will have access to the digital magazine if you buy it here. Not the archived video lessons or articles that actually make subscribing to AG valuable or useful. Otherwise, subscribe through the AG website and save yourself some pain...
This is a great way to enjoy this great guitar magazine. All sorts of links to other sites as well as their own ( Acoustic Guitar ). This makes the reading a lot more interesting. Good work guys.
I bought this app because I liked the paper/print magazine and prefer to read magazines on my mini iPad. How disappointing! The publisher has intentionally disabled the readers ability to zoom in on text in the app, which means you must try to read the entire page in its nominal size. On a mini iPad, you are forced to try to read print at HALF the size it would be in a print copy. The publisher has "thoughtfully" arranged so that the reader CAN zoom in on the advertisements... isnt that nice of them? I do not recommend this app unless you have the eyes of an eagle.
When I tried to download the November issue, I got a message that I have to update the app in the App Store first, but there is no update in the App Store.
Was working good for awhile but suddenly stopped with the November issue. Now it wont download any of the older ones either. Tried customer service received one reply after a week or so and no further answers! Poor will not be renewing?
Nothing works. It gives me a msg that I should download an updated version but its not in apps store... :-/
This app is one of the reasons I cancelled my AG subscription.
_update 4-30-16. Ok lost half of my backdated issues in the app. Had to delete and reload. The app has proven unstable during past 16+ months purchase item on different viewer or buy mag--these review does not reflect the great content in the mag but rather the lack of respect paid to getting it online in stable format. _-original After hours burnt trying to put lipstick on this app I have given up. Lost all back issue with only partial refund. Waste of time.glad this happened prior to loosing access to years of back issues. Hats off to apple for stepping up. Acoustic guitar mag is the worst experience I have had for subscription.
Print subscribers are not allowed access.
Time to get with it Anne follow the policies of most of the other mags these days and share access for print subscribers. Also called good customers rather than alienate your existing subscriber base. Making people pay twice is insulting and alienates your supporters.
Installed this app only to discover that current print subscribers must create an account with PixelMags and have their iTunes account charged again for the magazine. Shame on you Acoustic Guitar Magazine for partnering with such a misleading company. Other Guitar Magazine subscribers beware!
I have been a loyal print subscriber for many years and have enjoyed the website as well. I think its outrageous that you would charge longtime customers an additional subscription for the convenience of an iPad app!
Unfortunate that current print subscribers cannot access the iPad version here, without re-subscribing. All other magazines I subscribe to do allow for this.
"Oh, by the way loyal customer...give us more money!" Thats the spirit AG! You just lost a customer of 10 years. Shame on you!
What a joke on us. I think I will check out some of the other mags and associated apps for Acoustic guitar enthusiasts .......
I subscribe to both the print and on-line access to Acoustic Guitar Magazine and presumed that downloading the magazine to my iPad would be included. As soon as I learned that this would require yet a THIRD subscription, I removed the app. Its a horrible policy. If I didnt like the magazine as much as I do, I would cancel my subscription all together. Its simple: this should be included with a paid subscription. I prefer reading a printed magazine and flipping the pages anyway. Now if I can get them to stop sending me e-mail notifications of new issues...
I don know if I can continue my subscription. I enjoy being able to go online, but the price goes up, its like youre trying to squeeze every bit you can from us. This is no longer cool!
After installing the app I discovered that, unlike every other magazine I subscribe to, that these greedy guys want more money to access the magazine via app, in additional to what I pay for the print edition. If they were looking for a way to alienate their subscriber base and to cause folks to consider dropping their print subscription, they found it.
Why advertise this as a free app, when you just charge people to download the issue after they do?
